Spontaneous urticaria
Spontaneous urticaria, also known as chronic spontaneous urticaria (CSU), is a condition characterized by the recurrent appearance of hives (urticaria) and/or angioedema (swelling) for more than six weeks without an identifiable external trigger. This condition is called “spontaneous” because the hives and swelling occur seemingly out of nowhere, without any clear cause.
