Actinic Keratosis
Actinic keratosis (AK), also known as solar keratosis or senile keratosis, is a pre-cancerous skin condition that results from prolonged sun exposure. It is characterized by the development of rough, scaly patches or lesions on the skin, which are usually red or brown in color. Actinic keratosis is most commonly found on areas of the skin that are frequently exposed to the sun, such as the face, ears, neck, scalp, chest, backs of hands, forearms, or lips.
