About Me

Naz Binavi, MSN, NP-C, is a board-certified nurse practitioner specializing in dermatology, with experience spanning medical, surgical, cosmetic, and research settings. Born and raised in San Diego, Naz began her career as a registered nurse at Sharp Hospital, where she cared for high-acuity patients across neurological, neurosurgical, vascular, cardiovascular, and infectious disease specialties. This rigorous clinical background strengthened her diagnostic precision, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence, qualities she brings to every dermatology patient encounter.

Naz completed her dermatology nurse practitioner training under the guidance of Dr. Brook Brouha, a board-certified dermatologist and dermatopathologist, and Dr. Shane Hamman, a board-certified Mohs micrographic surgeon. She further advanced her cosmetic dermatology expertise through training with world-renowned dermatologist Dr. Mitchel Goldman and other leading experts at Cosmetic Laser Dermatology.

In addition to her clinical practice, Naz serves as a sub-investigator at the Cosmetic Laser Dermatology Research Center, contributing to clinical trials that help advance dermatologic treatments and technologies. She provides comprehensive dermatologic care, including the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancers, management of complex skin conditions, and cosmetic and injectable treatments, with a focus on natural, confident results.

Naz chose dermatology for its versatility, allowing her to combine medical, surgical, and cosmetic care while helping patients look, feel, and live their best. Outside of work, she enjoys sports, comedy, music, snowboarding, and hiking. She loves traveling with her family and draws inspiration from the natural beauty of Banff National Park in Canada.
