Kara Kane, PA-C, MPAS

“My goal is to make every patient as comfortable as possible while successfully treating and informing them about their condition. I love being able to make a difference and to be able to form quality patient-provider relationships with my patients.”

About Me

Kara Kane, PA-C, MPAS

I chose the medical profession because I love working with and helping patients. I also love the constant evolution of the medical field, which motivates me to continuously expand my knowledge and strive to deliver the best treatments for patients.
My passion for dermatology stemmed from my interest in the early detection and treatment of skin cancers. However, I enjoy all aspects of dermatology including medical, surgical, and cosmetic. I love the variety and truly enjoy working in each of these subspecialties. As a former employee of West, I love the close relationships that form between providers, staff, and patients. It is a very comforting environment.
Healthy skin is my passion- not only is skin our body’s barrier to the outside world, but it is also the first thing you see. It is important to maintain the health and appearance of our skin.
Being in sunny California, we tend to forget that we are constantly being exposed to the sun. It is so important to be using sunscreen daily and to be sure you are reapplying while participating in outdoor activities.
I believe that communication is key for a good patient-provider relationship. I am committed to effective communication with each patient so that they leave the office feeling well educated about their condition and how it will be treated.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family. I love being outdoors at the beach, lake, or mountains. Plus, traveling, food, and wine!
