Michael J. Nelms, PA-C

Michael J. Nelms, originally from Los Angeles, California, attended King's College in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies graduating Magna Cum Laude. He was also the recipient of the highly competitive National Health Service Corps Scholarship.

Immediately following his formal education, Michael worked with the United States Public Health Care Service as a physician assistant for the Metropolitan Correctional Center at the San Diego Federal Prison. Shortly after, he worked for the Quality Care Medical Center in Oceanside, California, as a physician assistant.

Michael became interested in the specialty of dermatology while working in family practice medicine. He was intrigued by many skin conditions and found an interest in the aesthetic as well as the medical benefits that dermatology can offer.

In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters, riding dirt bikes, and surfing.
