Marshall Goldberg, M.D.

At the age of six, Dr. Goldberg had the measles. He was fascinated by the doctor's medical bag, and the multicolor pills which looked like M&M candies. He found out many years later that the pills were all aspirins, but it was this incident which started his interest in Medicine.

Originally from Columbus, Ohio, he attended Ohio University graduating Summa Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa, with a BS degree in Zoology. He subsequently attended the University of California in San Francisco where he earned his MD degree. Dr. Goldberg was a rotating intern at San Francisco General Hospital.

During his internship he was impressed with the dermatologist's ability to diagnosis a seriously ill patient who was dying of an unknown disease. With a brief look at her skin, the dermatologist was able to determine that she had scurvy related to her poor diet. She recovered quickly with vitamin C.

Dr. Goldberg decided to study dermatology, and attended Stanford University where he served as a resident in dermatology. He passed his board examinations, became certified by the American Board of Dermatology, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. He holds membership in the American Medical Association, American Academy of Dermatology, the Pacific Dermatology Association, and the American Society of Cosmetic Dermatology and Aesthetic Surgery. He has practiced in San Francisco, and Southern California, and was an Associate Clinical Professor of Dermatology at Stanford.
