Heather Gaston, N.P.

Heather N. Gaston, originally from Boise, Idaho, received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Boise State University. Shortly after, she obtained her Master of Science degree in Nursing from San Diego State University and her Family Nurse Practitioner license from the University of California, San Diego. During this time, Heather completed her nurse practitioner residency at the University of California, San Diego. She completed a rotation at the UCSD Family Medicine Clinic, the UCSD Free Clinic and the UCSD Free Hispanic Clinic. She also completed an internal medicine rotation.

Heather has always had a natural interest in medicine, but it wasn't until she helped a loved one through a serious illness that she knew she wanted to become a nurse practitioner. She enjoys taking part in something that benefits the lives of others and enhances their well being and health. Heather enjoys the challenge that medicine offers and welcomes the constant learning opportunities. Above all else, she enjoys developing relationships with patients and assisting them in making positive changes in their lives.

Heather has several years of experience working as a nurse practitioner. She has worked in family medicine, emergency medicine, reproductive medicine and now specializes in dermatology.

In her spare time she enjoys running, reading, photography, traveling, and spending time with family and friends, especially her young son, Mason.
