Jason DuPont, M.D.

Dr. DuPont began his educational journey at Rice University in Houston, Texas. While there he received his B.A. in Psychology, graduating summa cum laude. After completing his undergraduate degree he earned his M.D. from Baylor College of Medicine, also located in Houston. Having endured seven years of Texas humidity, he ventured west to the "dry heat" of Arizona, where he completed a medical residency at Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix.

Immediately following his residency Dr. DuPont took a full-time position with Banner Health's Occupational Medicine Clinic at Good Samaritan. While there he took care of his hospital's employees as well as the employees of hundreds of Phoenix companies. He has a strong interest in occupational dermatology and is a recognized expert in managing HBFE post-exposure prophylaxis. His interests in dermatology extend beyond the office as well in that he is married to fellow West dermatologist, Dr. Sandra Leyo. Together they often discuss cases and review evidence-based research in order to provide their patients with the best possible care.

Dr. DuPont strives to have a positive impact in his patient's lives, and providing quality patient care is important to him. "One of the great things about being a physician is that at the end of the day you feel like you've helped people. I enjoy the diagnostic and surgical aspects of dermatology, but interacting with patients and helping them look and feel more healthy is really the most rewarding part of my work."

In his spare time, Dr. DuPont enjoys staying active through hiking, skiing, and snowboarding. You can often find him climbing Squaw Peak in the early evening or launching model rockets in the Arizona desert with his local club. He also enjoys reading, cooking, and most of all, spending time with his wife and new baby.
